Why did he do that?

Because Obama created the pandemic response team. Anything obama started, he destroys. 

He’s also cut the budget for the CDC every damn year for the past 3 years

Do not let this be forgot that he not only fired the pandemic team in 2018, but he also most recently refused WHO’s COVID-19 testing for Americans in fear that too many positive testing would diminish his chances at a reelection. (X)(X)

Also don’t forget that the Trump administration was warned that this was likely to happen and told to prepare. The Obama administration literally ran a 3 hour scenario for incoming members of the Trump administration in 2017 to hammer home the very real possibility of a global pandemic and force them to start thinking about how their administration would prepare for that.

So when Trump says that no one could have expected this, that’s bullshit. They were warned.

And when the current administration tells you there was no way to prepare for something like this, that is also bullshit. They were told what they needed to do. They were handed already existing programs that are meant to protect against this shit.

Trump and his administration didn’t listen to the warnings in 2017 or in 2020 when this crisis was just beginning.

Trump and his administration didn’t take the advice about what needed to be fixed in 2017. (Like getting more ventilators for hospitals) They didn’t do anything to prepare for a pandemic they were told was coming.

Trump and his administration then cut funding and dismantled programs meant to ensure a virus like this never made it to our country. And they did this after being warned that a pandemic was coming.

You can absolutely blame Trump for this.
